Where our product information comes from and the licenses that govern how we use it.

Open Beauty Facts

Contains information from Open Beauty Facts, made available under the Open Database License (ODbL).

We combine Open Beauty Facts entries with our own product categories, ingredient information, and review of published research to build product pages, category lists, and search results. Each product page, category list, and API response is limited to information about the products it describes. We do not publish or offer the combined product database for bulk extraction or redistribution.

What is not included

We do not display Open Beauty Facts product images. Images are licensed separately (Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike) and are out of scope for our current use of product information.

Other sources

Ingredient identity and safety data may draw on additional public sources, including the EU CosIng cosmetic ingredient glossary, PubChem, and U.S. FDA public datasets. Where a specific product entry cites FDA drug-label data, its source is preserved and it is presented as information about the product, not as an FDA approval, endorsement, or verification of any product.
